What Readers Are Saying.

This was an enjoyable read. The only problem is, I can hardly wait for book 2 to come out, because I must discover what happened to Paulette.
Barbara did an amazing job of creating a character I could care about and I could see the story like a movie playing in my mind. The plot was well thought out and the cliff-hanger at the end made me want to project myself into the future so I could read the next book in this series. i can see this character having many amazing adventures as the author has laid the foundation for a great ongoing story.

Future Apocalypse engages the reader with a fresh twist on the apocalypse story. A strong, smart female lead keeps the story alive as she struggles between being self sufficient and exploring new relationships. Great development of supporting characters. I'm ready for the next book!

If you’re looking for a different, cleaner-type story that isn’t just “gun-porn”, then check this book out. It has a great female lead character who is out to prove she can do anything she sets her mind to. The story is different, walking you through the young girl’s venture at pioneering a robotics company and them inventing time travel. She eventually does, and it doesn’t turn out the way she expected.
I’m only giving 4-stars, because the dialogue seemed a bit stiff, and there were some small parts that probably could have stood some editing for not helping push the plot. Also, I save my 5-star reviews for when something truly blows my mind. That said, this story is different, but that doesn’t mean it is bad, and the characters were likable. Lastly, I happen to like earthquake stories, and she sneaks that in there, too!

I enjoyed this combination sci-fi and post apocalyptic novel. I questioned a few details, but overall it's an enjoyable read.

Paulette builds a time pod and thanks to her best friend she ends up stuck in a destructive, apocalyptic future. This was so much different than the normal dystopian books I normally read. Loved every page I turned. Can't wait and looking forward to book 2!
