"Barbara Gilbert's Future Apocalypse blends the wonder of time travel with the grit of the apocalypse in the second installment of her creative dystopian saga."

What Readers Are Saying.
Take time travel, a huge worldwide cataclysm, add interesting characters, gut-wrenching challenges and add a dash of romance and sprinkle some occasional humor and you'll find yourself absorbed in this sequel to Future Apocalypse. The characters feel real and the plot takes so many twists and turns that it is everything but predictable.
And the cliffhanger? The sooner the next book comes out, the better we're all going to like it.

I've read both books that are currently available in this series. Book 1 hops back and forth between the main character's present time and the post-apocalyptic future. As I was reading Book 1, I couldn't help but wish that more of the story took place in the post-apocalyptic future. I was eager to read more about the main character's adventures in a ravaged land where resources are scarce and many people seem to live in the wilderness. I was very excited to discover that this book, the second in the series, is focused on this apocalyptic time in the future. The book moves at a quick pace with new, interesting characters that are introduced into the storyline. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed the authors view of time travel. I have read numerous books in the genre and find this to be up there with the best of them. I liked the style of the story and the way it was written. I look forward to other books in this series.

Gilbert delivers another unique storyline combining the present day and an apocalyptic wasteland future in a time travel twist. I love time travel, and combining it with the apocalypse is a fun shift from the usual genre tropes. Pauline is an interesting heroine, the content is clean, and that cliffhanger ending will leave readers hungry for more!

The book didn't disappoint me. Even though I hadn't read the first book in the series, it still took me through all the thrills. A perfect blend of apocalyptic plot with enough romance and humor. Enjoyed every bit of the book.
